Let’s give WordPress a shot

Welcome to “Scatterin’ O’ the Thoughts”! Ok, so I recycled a name from a previous blog…it just fits me so much better than anything else I could think of. I mean, I think in scattered patterns, so, geesh!

So far, what I’ve seen with WordPress has been beautifully simple, so I might like this service better than the other three I’ve tried. Primarily, this blog is here so I don’t have to send out emails to twenty friends at a time to share the things I want to share.

A few things to note. If you somehow stumble across this and wonder what type of blog this is, file it under “potpourri”. I can’t narrow myself down to one or two interests, so there will be posts about general politics, history, home-schooling, genealogy, Ireland, Gaeilge (Irish language), local politics and the associated stupidity, family matters, technology issues, adult ADD, religion and church history, and anything else that trips my fancy for more than 30 seconds.

I’ll do my best to set up categories as I go so there will be some ease of navigation, and I’ll endeavour to post daily. There will be no off-color comments permitted, so please be clean if you want your posted comment to remain.

So, Cead Mile Failte (a hundred-thousand welcomes), (and yes, I know it needs fadas but I’ve never figured out how to do that on my keyboard, so any Irish geek that sees this, please fill me in! )
