I’d like to say I’m shocked, but I’m not.

In another moment that makes me right embarrassed to be (in the verbage of Miss Rachel) A HILLBILLY MORON from Ohio, our Secretary of State, Jennifer Brunner is fighting for the rights of ACORN to commit massive voter fraud.

Here are some notable quotes from Ms. Brunner:

Brunner said reports of widespread voter fraud in Ohio are overblown. “I don’t believe there is an effort under way to steal the election.”

“Ohio’s bipartisan election officials have a duty to investigate specific allegations of wrongdoing, protecting the rights of eligible voters in the process. Republicans and Democrats both want fair elections, and our preparation in Ohio is already showing results with successful absentee voting.”

Emphasis mine.

Brunner said the aborted attempt of Greene County authorities to examine records on all of that county’s early voters who had registered the same day was disturbing because there were no specific allegations of wrongdoing.

“It looked like a fishing investigation to me,” she said.

And from her stellar employees:

“I hope every freaking one of you rat bastards ends up in jail.”

I think that just about sums up how deep the investigation into 2885 Brownlee Avenue in Columbus will go. No, it’s not a frat house, (arguable). It’s a houseful of liberal-activist “scholars” who are leaders of a group called “Vote From Home ‘08.” These are children who have no connection to Ohio, are studying abroad, and have registered to vote in Franklin County AS OHIOANS. They make no secret (on their Facebook page) of their attempts to influence the election in our state:

“Want to turn the Presidential election blue in a key swing state? Vote from Home is a political organization that was founded by a team of young people for the purpose of assisting, aiding, and tracking voters to elect progressive candidates to the White House. Encouraged by the excitement of the 2008 elections and the movement around the Democratic candidates, Vote From Home will be in Ohio seeking to deliver 10,000 votes to Democratic candidates statewide.”

As a taxpaying, law-abiding, registered-to-vote-longer-than-you’ve-been-alive Ohioan, I want to make perfectly clear where I stand on the issue of non-resident voters in my home state:
GET THE FUCK OUT, and:

Michelle has more details, including photos and videos.

(Thanks to Miss Rachel for posting the lovely graphic…I stole it.)
