Tons of Blogging Goodness
I hate to just link and link and link and link, but you know, there are so many others out there with more time and better Engrish than me who are far more skilled at pointing out the important, MSM-dissed stories of the day.
So here goes:
Gateway Pundit has delicious stories on Giddy Communists celebrating their new-found hope in anticipating an Obama presidency.
Also, GP links to a Drudge Report missive detailing the Obama-Camp talking points distributed to the media twelve hours before the debate….strangely the headlines in most of today’s mainstream news outlets are similar!
Press Secretary Sean Smith issued the directive in an email from Pennsylvania, 12 hours before the debate.
The memo oddly mirrors much of the main press analysis and theme of the current campaign:”
I think that pretty much erases any lingering doubts about the MSM being in the proverbial tank for Obambi.
Also on GP, STOP WITH THE DOWN-IN-THE-MOUTH-STUFF PEOPLE! Okay, so they didn’t say it like that. But this underscores a point I tried to make to my husband’s employer yesterday: It’s not near as bad as the Obama-camp/MSM media want you to believe it is.
EEYORE’S of the world, please see this from Hillbuzz..
If we ever thought Obama would really win, we’d shout it from the mountains. We believe John McCain will win, though the media will use all the powers of Hell, if it has to, to swing this election to their favorite candidate. It’s going to be a long hard slog through the rest of this race — but all of this is made so much harder by you Eeyores.
Emphasis mine.
Additionally, they relate a post from someone at HillaryClintonForum.net, which was incidentally, something I was about to post here today, but they do it so much more nicely…and it’s easier to copy and paste than it is to type:
Someone at www.HillaryClintonForum.net pointed out all of this is also a tactic employed by Saul Alinsky, in one of Obama’s favorite books:
Alinsky’s rules include:
(Souce: Newsmax)
“Wherever possible go outside the experience of the enemy. Here you want to cause confusion, fear and retreat.”
“Make the enemy live up to his/her own book of rules. You can kill them with this. They can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.”
“Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule. Also, it infuriates the opposition, who then react to your advantage.”
“The threat is generally more terrifying than the thing itself.”
“In a fight almost anything goes. It almost reaches the point where you stop to apologize if a chance blow lands above the belt.”
“Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it and polarize it.”
“One of the criteria for picking the target is the target’s vulnerability … the other important point in the choosing of a target is that it must be a personification, not something general and abstract.”
“The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength.”
Does it sound remotely familiar? SO STOP IT.
You should also read the rest of Hillbuzz’s post as it has excellent analysis of the data that the MSM doesn’t want you to see.
Michelle has guidance on how to act if you want to get government grants
The Ohio GOP is doing some decent reporting (with help from Palestra…who, by the way are an amazing group of college students doing the jobs that Americans Mainstream News Media won’t do.)
I’d really hate to be Jennifer Brunner right now. The smack-downs must be getting old. See here, here, and here.
Obama’s “Fight the Smears” operatives aren’t very much more comfortable, I don’t think. Especially after they got called out on their white-washing…ooops. I forgot, I’m a RAAAASCIIIIIIIISSSST!!!!!!! if I say that.
From the report:
Barack Obama’s Fight the Smears Web site had to make some adjustments when one of the alleged “smears” turned out to be true.
The political blog Gateway Pundit reports that Thursday the Web site read, “Fact: Barack was never an ACORN trainer and never worked for ACORN in any other capacity.”
But the Cleveland Leader newspaper discovered documents proving that Obama did work as a trainer for the voter registration group. The Obama camp claims its candidate trained for the position but was never hired.
The Web page now reads, “Fact: ACORN never hired Obama as a trainer, organizer, or any type of employee.”
Kind of reminiscent of the Parser-in-Chief’s declarations that it depends on what the meaning of “is” is.
Happy reading! :p
